  1. Whole Black lentils (skinned) is dry roasted and ground to fine powder. Its available at any Indian Grocery stores. Now take one spiral at time and slide it into hot oil carefully. As soon as you put chakli into the oil you will notice lot of bubbles. Do not flip the chakli immediately. Let it be little stiff so that it becomes easy to handle while frying and does not break. Fry till it becomes crispy from both sides..
  4. Like chakli these butter chakli do not turn brown. They retain their color even when they are fried. Drain excess oil using slotted spoon. Let the fried chakli cool down completely, then store in airtight container..
